- Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures under the guidance and oversight of Department Manager and designated staff members.
- Studies didactic materials independently.
- Must be highly self-motivated to learn.
- Prior to sitting for registry exams, will independently perform examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols, generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation, and review physician reports.
- Charts and charges procedures electronically.
- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Effectively interacts with patient and significant others, while maintaining professional standards.
- Interacts with Cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findings.
- Interacts with team leaders and managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status and equipment malfunctions.
- Exhibits sound critical thinking skills. Works under direct supervision until deemed competent in a specific procedure. Must have outstanding work ethics and integrity.
- Behaves in accordance with the Principles of Performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education High School Diploma
Minimum Work Experience
- 1 year patient care experience or training in related field.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- EKG Hospital-based training program upon completion of Orientation BLS within 1 month of hire
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Hands on training and coaching will be available.
- Didactic education requires self-study.
- Master use of all applicable equipment.
- Maintain equipment and testing rooms Multiple computer programs will be used daily.
- interact with patients and customers as well as co-workers and physicians.
- Attends all required training programs and completes computer-based learning lessons.
- Strong motivation and excellent self-learning skills are required for this position.
