Job Title: Field Service Technician
Department: Production Chemicals
Location: Dickinson ND (surrounding area)
Remote Status: Onsite
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly. "Home every night". Overtime is available and expected.
Annual Compensation Potential: $70,000-$80,000 per year

Job Summary Provide routine service and technical support to customer. Optimize chemical applications and provide field services tailored to meeting customer demands.
Expectations Expected to follow established procedures and comply with all safety regulations. Self-motivated, organized, and effective communicator. Given parameters but works with little supervision once trained. Proper use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: work boots, hearing protection, gloves, safety glasses, hardhat, 4-gas monitor, and fire-retardant apparel. Rotational on-call schedule.
Essential Duties – other duties as assigned
- Chemical application optimization, with attention to precision on chemical inventory levels and drip rates
- Troubleshoot source of inventory/rate discrepancies
- Field support of production chemical programs
- Perform maintenance on chemical pumps
- Collect samples from wellsite
- Submit order requests
- Fresh water shocking/ATP testing
- Conduct water analyses
- Deliver chemicals (NonDOT) and rinse chemical tanks
- Keeping detailed notes in various computer programs according to company policy
- Work well independently and as a team
- Provide excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma/GED or 3 years related work experience required. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to perform minor field mechanical/plumbing tasks.
Certifications/Licenses: Regular driver's license required. CDL preferred.
Driving Requirements: Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, where applicable.

Physical Requirements – Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 55 pounds chest high. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of equipment and/or vehicles. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require daily standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, climbing, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear, and feel attributes of objects or temperatures by touching with the skin. Required to have the visual acuity to safely and legally operate motor vehicles.
Work Environment – Indoors and outdoors, with exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme winter weather, precipitation, and wind. Includes potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil, and gases. Employee will be subject to road conditions typical within the oilfield. Noise level is typically moderate, occasionally loud.
Language Skills – Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, safety data sheets (SDSs), operating instructions, and procedure manual. English language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, etc.), electronic timesheets, and programs such as Business Central and Power BI for keeping field notes.
Work Ethic – Be trustworthy, dependable, respectful, and truthful with a commitment to safety and excellent customer service. Follow policies and procedures and take responsibility for your own actions.
