Admissions Assistant (Wed-Sun Shift)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Admission Assistant for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will facilitating the admission process for new residents, ensuring a smooth transition into our care environment. As an Admission Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for potential residents and their families, providing them with the information, support, and reassurance they need during this important time.

• Greet and assist prospective residents and their families during the admission process.

• Collect, review, and verify all necessary admission documentation and medical records.
• Coordinate and conduct facility tours for potential residents and their families.
• Facilitate communication between families, residents, and healthcare staff regarding admission questions and concerns.
• Assist in the completion of admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized records and data related to admissions for reporting purposes.

• Support the admissions team in ensuring a seamless transition to residency, following up on pending documents and inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in admissions or patient services is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and support families in difficult situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
