What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Dental Assistant/Front Desk position at Creekside Smiles Pediatric Dentistry?
Our state of the art pediatric dental office is looking to add a dynamic cross-trained Dental Assistant / Front Desk to our team. We are looking for a team member that is detail-oriented, team focused, reliable and willing to learn and grow with us. The right person for this position will have a take initiative approach and an upbeat and positive attitude. Experience in both pediatric clinical dental assisting -and- dental front desk experience preferred but not required.
Position is 4 days per week with rotating Monday-Friday schedule.
Open Dental software experience is a plus.
Candidate Requirements: NC X-ray certification , CPR Certification, Coronal Polishing Certification, and nitrous oxide certification
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures by preparing the treatment area and managing instruments.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while providing chairside support.
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations and uphold aseptic techniques.
- Perform coronal polishing and assist with nitrous oxide administration as needed.
- Help with front desk/admin duties as needed.
