The Adult Tennis Director reports to the Club Director and is responsible for all aspects of the adult tennis program. This individual works in partnership with other departmental leaders and will be the ambassador for Adult tennis within the club as we strive to have a fun and welcoming environment with programming and socials for all skill levels. The Adult Tennis Director will be nimble and adaptable to the changing landscape of the industry and will thrive in a people environment, bringing an energetic and inspiring leadership to the club’s adult tennis program.

Your responsibilities: • Lead all aspects of the adult programs and clinics, USTA league management, and tournaments. • Create and lead all tennis related socials for adults, members and non-members. • Collaborate with Junior Program Directors to coordinate coach needs and court sheet overlap as well and overall culture of club. • Responsible for recruitment, registration, attendance, promotion of groups, scheduling of courts in coordination with Club Director, preparation of statistical reports, player make-ups, and communication. • Assurance that the modified court equipment – balls, cars, racquets, teaching aids and nets – are always in good condition and properly located for all the programs. • Work with Club Director to plan, schedule, promote and organize summer and holiday adult camps • Lead and administer club wide adult tennis social events, coordinating with Club Director, other department leaders and all tennis pros. • Teach groups of all levels in the adult development tennis program. • Teach Adult private lessons, adult clinics, AND adult private/group lessons. • Implement the Adult development curriculum. Lead the campaign to align the attitudes of pros, parents, and children regarding the use of modified courts and equipment. • Assist the Club Director in preparing the annual performance plans and reviews for the teaching professionals who work in the adult development program. • Organize, promote, and oversee all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly adult tennis development activities including adult match-play events, USTA League seasons, CALTA teams, WTN and USTA Level tournaments. • Promote and market the adult development program locally. • Evaluate and provide feedback to coaches who teach in the adult development program. • Work with the Club Director on all matters relating to programs, coach development and methodologies. • Attend coach meetings and supervisory meetings held by the Club Director. • Prepare and present to the Club Director the annual and seasonal class schedule for each segment of the adult tennis development program, the social calendar, and the budget requested for the upcoming calendar year. • Complete and oversee the adult tennis coach audit and assessment process. • Complete other assignments deemed appropriate by the Club Director. • Consolidate various programs, calendars of events, leagues and tournaments and ensure our members and non-members are receiving timely communications. • Partner with other program directors to consolidate efforts across the business lines and package the various club offerings for marketing. • Manage staffing programming, advertising and communications about programs including but not limited to closing out of programs, creating new programming, calendar/scheduling, and court sheet management.

Your expected qualifications and requirements: • Be adaptable to an evolving, demanding, and flexible work schedule and environment. • Your player level is recommended to be at the demonstration and comprehension level of 4.5 NTRP and above. College-level playing ability certainly a plus. • USTA Safe Play AND USPTA or PTR certification is required (or acquired within 6 months of employment). • Have a combination of 5 or more years of tennis coaching experience in a high revenue racquets facility and/or 3 years of Adult tennis program leadership. • The Adult Tennis and Social Director position is a full-time opportunity and does not offer a remote work possibility. While a 7-day work week is not expected, the Adult Tennis and Social Director understands that the position will require coverage and work on holidays and days off from time to time.
