A Client Care Specialist (CCS) plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent client communication, managing medical records, and facilitating the smooth operation of the hospital. They serve as the initial point of contact for clients and are responsible for creating positive lasting impressions. The CCS must possess strong client service and communication skills, be proficient in computer usage, handle financial transactions, excel in multitasking, maintain a friendly demeanor, and demonstrate confidence in handling stressful situations. A passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues are essential. The CCS collaborates closely with veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, and kennel staff to deliver consistent patient care and communication. Duties include appointment scheduling, client/patient greeting, appointment triage, processing payments, accurately conveying medical information, managing medical records, and dispensing medications as prescribed by veterinarians.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Experience in customer service (Required)
- Experience in the veterinary industry and/or with animals (Preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Obligations:
- Able to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
- Endure sitting, standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods
- Type information for patient records into the computer
- Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals, phone conversation, and equipment
- Take safety precautions for exposure to toxins, drugs, anesthesia and radiation
