Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation related to medication administration and resident health status.
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents regularly, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide support for residents with disabilities or special needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations within the facility.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents and their families.
Skills
- Experience in a hospital or senior care environment is preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration techniques and understanding of medical documentation practices.
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, memory care needs, and hospice care requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
