We offer training upon hire, so no previous experience is required. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, patient, and eager to learn.
Position Overview: As a Life Skills Coach, you will work with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them navigate the community safely, achieve their goals, and participate in recreational and volunteer activities. You will assist in developing functional skills through one-to-one community training. Strong communication and consistency are key for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-Time (Additional hours may be available upon request)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: North County/Vista, CA (Positions may also be available in Escondido, San Diego, and Chula Vista)
Pay: $17.25 per hour (Additional $0.40 per hour after 90 day probationary period)
Benefits: Paid time off (Full-time employees are eligible for dental and health insurance)
Responsibilities:
Work with individuals with developmental disabilities in the community.
Develop and track progress on individual goals.
Provide support for volunteering and work opportunities.
Assist with daily activities such as social interactions and independent living tasks.
Complete case documentation and ensure clear communication with the team.
Encourage and support clients' independence and skill development.
Skills and Requirements:
Enthusiastic, patient, and motivated to help others.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work with diverse groups and develop rapport with clients.
A desire to work in a fast-paced, community-oriented setting.
Reliable transportation is required.
