CREIGHTON OAKS RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER JOB DESCRIPTION

TREATMENT DIRECTOR

The Treatment Directorprovides individual, group and crisis counseling for the residents of Creighton Oaks RTC. Provides input on policy and procedures to ensure all individual youths therapeutic needs are being met. Conducts assessments and treatment plans as required.

Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical social work, counseling or other mental health field, or clinical or counseling psychologist or licensed by the state to provide counseling as a master social worker (ALMS). Two to three years of supervisory training or experience is preferred. Three years’ experience providing treatment services to emotionally disturbed persons with one-year minimum experience in a residential setting. Experience will focus on community-based programs, treatment facilities and/or direct practical experience with children and family therapy. Any educational or experiential qualifications to be considered as equivalent, in lieu of the above minimums, require prior approval of the Executive Director or designee. Must be 21 years or older. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Experience: One (1) year documented work experience in a residential or therapeutic setting. Must possess clinical assessment and treatment skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Will conduct individual and group counseling with diverse populations of children. Must have efficient organizational and time management skills. Must possess the ability to train staff in therapeutic processes, prepare reports and recommendations for clinical and administrative use, and have the ability to work with troubled youth in community-based programs, residential, day treatment or institutional settings. Must embrace cultural diversity awareness. Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Job Functions:

· Responsible for the overall treatment program, evaluating with the program director the potential admission of youth based on the data collected from the placing agencies.

· Serves as the liaison between other therapeutic services provided to the Creighton Oaks youth.

· Ensures treatment plans and reviews are completed in a timely manner and according to licensing standards.

· Conducts CANS assessments for youth and documents in youth file.

· Conducts crisis assessments on youth experiencing crisis and provides written report on recommendations.

· Provides discharge summaries for youth.

· Works with Youth For Tomorrow to provide information for service levels.

· Maintains confidentiality and is demonstrates cultural competency.

· Provides training as requested/needed.

· Maintains all licenses and training hours required by DFPS minimum standards.

· Assisting in making admission decision based on the admission assessment.

· Prepare goal-oriented psychosocial diagnostic assessments, preliminary and initial treatment plans and treatment plan reviews.

· Facilitate or co-facilitate youth groups on specific issues.

· Facilitate and develop staff development training as requested.

· Maintain therapeutic services within Creighton Oaks Residential Treatment Center and funding source guidelines.

· Reports child abuse to DFPS Licensing according to minimum standards.

· Follows all minimum standards and Creighton Oaks policy and procedures.

· Attend training, workshops and meetings upon request

· Maintain professional and ethical standards outlined in the Creighton Oaks RTC policy and procedures.

· Role model a professional demeanor at all times.

· Handles those cases which require more extensive evaluation and monitoring.

· Attend and participate in all required professional training, workshops and or continuing education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
