What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director Magis Catholic Teacher Corps position at Creighton University Social Sourcing?
The Department of Education at Creighton University invites applications for a full-time Associate Director for Magis Catholic Teacher Corps. The individual collaborates with the director for all program operations including management of external marketing and recruiting communications for Magis, recruitment strategy, communication with prospective students, and effectively engaging the program's graduates. This individual supports teacher certification efforts for potential and current students and contributes to Education Department activities and objectives. Supervision and field responsibilities are shared with the Magis Director. This position includes exercising leadership in summer programming, teacher formation, the community living pillar, and the faith formation pillar of the program. This individual must exemplify encouragement, empathy, and empowerment for the Magis students in the multi-faceted formation program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge and/or experience with supervision and teacher, Ignatian & Christian Spirituality, school leadership, teacher formation, social justice, and young adult formation are preferred
- Preference for those who hold a Nebraska teaching license or have the ability to obtain
- Appreciation and understanding of Creighton University’s mission and the ability to effectively communicate it
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Proficient skills in Outlook, Canva, Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Preference for candidate with familiarity with graphic design, marketing
- Ability to travel
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in education, leadership, higher education or other helping profession required
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in K – 12 Catholic education
- Experience with community building, faith-based service, and social media management preferred
- Experience in higher education preferred
