Education, Credentials, Licenses:
BS in Engineering or other technical discipline
Kind & Length Of Experience
- 3 years of proven experience in a Maintenance or Reliability Engineer role required
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a highly regulated industry (Food, Pharma, etc.)
- Previous frontline leader training preferred
- Previous experience planning and managing a project.
- Experience leading and working knowledge of a Preventative Maintenance Program and Autonomous Maintenance required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required
- Experience in formal problem-solving methodologies is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS Software usage required
- Proven maintenance leadership in a contract manufacturing environment preferred
- Proven experience in change management experience preferred
- Leading a Maintenance Team in a 24/7 environment preferred
- Understanding a predictive maintenance systems and tools
- Experience with World Class Manufacturing and lean manufacturing is highly desirable
- Train and develop direct reports to their fullest potential to support organizational needs, including maintenance and refinement of the department’s tiered training system;
- Maintain positive and active communication with employees and other departments to achieve objectives.
- Train, coach, mentor, and recognize employees to maintain a high level of shift performance.
- Manage direct reports time and attendance daily to ensure accuracy.
- Administer annual reviews to create growth path for team members.
- Lead and support the investigation of all downtime and root cause and corrective actions
- Reduce unplanned downtime through the implementation and sustainment of a facility-wide, culture changing, formalized Total Productive Maintenance program;
- Develop and maintain the asset masterplan to increase overall equipment effectiveness to support organizational growth;
- Ensure proactive reliability and equipment health.
- Lead, facilitate, and support World Class Manufacturing Culture (WCM) locally and across the global manufacturing network;
- Develop and execute a robust and comprehensive computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including spare parts inventory management;
- Lead, facilitate, and support other continuous improvement initiatives as the organization requires to achieve the organization’s masterplan, which heavily emphasizes stability to prepare for growth;
- Communicate maintenance and reliability improvements to customer in virtual and face-to-face meetings, as requested;
- Align assigned team with organizational objectives through key performance indicator development and maintain focus through daily huddles, one-on-ones, and other meetings, as necessary;
- Maximize team’s productivity and overall equipment effectiveness through maintenance planning;
- Participate in company’s safety and quality programs to maintain readiness for internal and external audits (e.g., OSHA, HAACP, SQF, ISO, food safety, halal, kosher), inclusive of internal auditing;
- Provide coaching, guidance, and mentoring to contractors and associates on safety initiatives and necessary changes;
- Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures, and other requirements.
