Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including spinal taps when necessary.
- Provide treatment for acute and chronic conditions, with a focus on pediatrics and toddler care.
- Manage case management tasks, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate utilization review processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in occupational health initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in emergency room settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in medical-surgical nursing practices.
- Strong knowledge of case management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with pediatric care protocols is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform procedures such as spinal taps is a plus.
