Residential Technology Technician (Junior/Helper)

Hi, we’re Crescendo Designs and we’re seeking a Junior Technician / Helper to join our team.

Who are we? We’re an elite home technology firm headquartered in Westhampton Beach, New York, serving the Hamptons and Manhattan.

What do we do? We wire, install, and service high-end technology systems in residential homes. These include audio systems, video systems, theaters, automation systems, lighting fixtures, lighting control systems, motorized shading systems, networks, and more.

Who are we looking for? You! You’re a professional, hardworking individual who has the utmost attention for detail. You’re a quick learner. You’re always looking a few steps ahead. You’re a team player. You’re a problem solver. You’re not afraid to dig in and get dirty. You hustle and work with a sense of urgency. Get the picture? It does sound like you, doesn’t it?

While we do prefer someone with some industry experience, we’re willing to work with and train the right person.

What type of work will you be doing? Here’s some examples:

• Running wires in new construction and retrofit homes
• Digging and running outdoor wiring
• Setting up structured wiring enclosures and terminating wires
• Installing speakers, televisions, projectors, projector screens, motorized shades, and more
• Building and wiring equipment racks

You may be assigned other duties as you grow and learn. You’ll be assigned to work with a lead technician who will guide you daily, train you, and be your mentor.

You’ll need to be able to work on a ladder, in tight spaces, and outdoors. Tight spaces may include attics and crawl spaces. You should also be able to lift 50 lbs.

You must possess a valid and clean New York State Driver's license (no points, DUI, DWI, etc.).

You must be able to commute and report to our Westhampton Beach, NY office daily. Some days will require you to report directly to a job site. You must be flexible to work on job sites on Long Island and in New York City. We service Montauk to Manhattan.

You must have a minimum of 1 year of previous job experience in a position working on construction sites, and with hand tools and power tools. Please make sure this is listed on your resume.
