What are the responsibilities and job description for the Self Storage Manager position at Crescendo Self Storage Management?
Crescendo Self Storage Management operates self storage facilities throughout the western United States. We have a team of approximately 80 self storage professionals. We manage 43 self storage locations and we are growing about 20 percent per year.
The right person will be an outgoing person with retail sales and customer service experience, along with strong multitasking abilities. computer skills for an office environment and has the energy to keep the self-storage facility looking good and the storage units ready to rent.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prior retail sales or leasing experience and customer service experience.
- Enjoy providing excellent customer service and renting storage spaces.
- Answer and respond to telephone calls and emails about rentals and tenant issues.
- Shows, rents and cleans self-storage units as well as actively selling and maintaining supplies of moving and packing materials
- Sell tenant protection plans
- Maintain the office and the property by keeping it neat, clean, and secure, and keeping units rent-ready.
- Accept payments, maintain an accurate petty cash log.
- Prepare and make daily bank deposits.
- Contact past due customers and arrange for catch-up payments.
- Assist in keeping the facility rented at optimum levels by effectively utilizing advertising, promotional and customer relation skills as approved by management
- Provides outstanding customer service including assessing and resolving customer problems and professionally handling telephone and walk-in inquiries
- Effectively communicates with management and fellow employees
- Prepare units for auction and vacates units as prescribed by law and approved by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
- Superior customer service skills and sales ability
- Excellent phone demeanor
- Computer literate with solid office skills
- Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages
- Successful in a team environment
- Take-charge mentality, yet able to follow set procedures
