Job title : Voice Engineer
Location : New York, NY (Hybrid - 2-3 days / week onsite)

Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
Must be able to work on-site (corporate / client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities :
Develop and deploy voice communication systems, including VoIP, PBX, and other telephony solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Monitor and maintain voice systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Utilize IPC engineering experience to manage and optimize voice communication platforms.
Oversee relationships with carriers, manage Hoot and Holler services, and ensure efficient voice recording solutions.
Coordinate the development, deployment, and decommissioning of voice-related products, ensuring timely updates and adherence to version control protocols.
Implement and manage patching schedules, maintain version control, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Work closely with IT, network, and security teams to align voice systems with organizational goals and security policies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures related to voice systems.
Skills and Experience Required :
Required :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IPC engineering and voice communication systems.
Proficiency in managing carrier services, Hoot and Holler systems, and voice recording technologies.
Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, SIP, RTP, and related technologies.
Experience with product life cycle management, patching processes, and version control systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex voice communication issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Desired :
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCVP).
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
