Job title : Lead . Net Developer

Location : Richmond, VA(Hybrid)

Type : 6 Months

Job Details :

  • Location : Richmond, VA (onsite 3 days a week at 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA)
  • Duration : Potential long-term contract extension beyond 6 / 30, possibly up to 24 months
  • Parking : Contractor will need to arrange and pay for their own parking through VDOT's Parking Management Office or independently.
  • Interviews : All interviews will be conducted onsite.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Experience : At least 14 years of experience in software development.
  • Core Technical Skills :
  • Strong understanding of C# and .NET web application lifecycle and middleware .
  • Extensive experience with Web API Design, Development, and Security .
  • Experience with JavaScript , including frameworks such as React , Angular , and Mud Blazor .
  • Familiarity with CSS3 and HTML5 .
  • Experience with relational database design and T-SQL development.
  • Ability to write unit tests and integration tests .
  • Knowledge of system design patterns , tiered architecture , and effort estimation .
  • Knowledge of Agile SDLC .
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and business requirement discussions.

    • Desired Skills :

  • Blazor (or willingness to learn it).
  • Experience with Mud Blazor component library.
  • Front-End experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
  • Dapper ORM for data access.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for code repositories and boards.
  • Familiarity with Serilog or other logging libraries.
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) experience.
  • Experience with Git or TFS code repositories.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong team-first attitude .
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively .
  • Adaptability to different business and technical needs.

    • Key Expectations :

  • Adhere to programming best practices.
  • Be involved in clarifying and implementing requirements with business and system analysts.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment .
