What are the responsibilities and job description for the OUTPATIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR position at CRESCENT ADDICTION AND RECOVERY CENTER?
Leadership and Program Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and protocols to align with organizational goals, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Provide leadership and supervision to IOP clinical and administrative staff, including therapists, case managers, and support staff.
- Monitor program performance metrics, ensuring compliance with payer requirements, treatment outcomes, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to establish program goals, budget planning, and strategic initiatives.
Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure that clinical services provided are individualized, client-centered, and meet medical necessity criteria.
- Supervise clinical staff in the creation and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with professional standards.
- Conduct regular case reviews and team meetings to discuss treatment progress and address challenges.
- Oversee referrals for medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and other necessary services.
- Ensure the continuity of care by coordinating with inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services.
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate IOP staff members, promoting professional growth and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and training opportunities for staff to maintain and enhance clinical competencies.
- Address staff performance issues in a timely manner, following organizational policies.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as payer guidelines.
- Oversee internal audits of clinical documentation, billing practices, and service delivery to ensure compliance and high standards of care.
- Develop and implement quality assurance measures to monitor program effectiveness and client outcomes.
Client Engagement and Advocacy:
- Serve as a primary contact for client concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure that clients and their families are informed and involved in the treatment process.
- Advocate for clients by addressing barriers to care and linking them to appropriate resources.
Community Engagement and Partnerships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including referral sources, health plans, and social service organizations.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and initiatives related to behavioral health and substance abuse treatment.
- Develop Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and other partnership agreements with local organizations to expand access to care.
Reporting and Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and present reports on program performance, outcomes, and key metrics to senior leadership.
- Monitor and manage the program’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee data collection and reporting for grant requirements, payer contracts, and organizational needs.
Crisis Management:
- Respond to emergencies and crises involving clients or staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of all involved.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and crisis response protocols.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on trends, research, and best practices in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
- Implement innovative approaches to enhance program services and improve client outcomes.
- Foster a culture of feedback, learning, and continuous improvement among staff and program participants.
