The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly qualified Air Compliance & Sustainability Specialist that can take the lead driving our air, emissions, and environmental programs. The position can be based in either our Irving or Houston offices where you will work with the corporate HSE and Operations teams to support their projects focusing on regulatory and environmental compliance. Expect some travel to our field offices, where you can collaborate with remote staff on field level emission projects. You will report to the Environmental Manager, and you will be an integral part to guide the department with integrity and ingenuity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Air compliance program management – Lead Crescent through air permitting of new and amended facilities due to completion of new wells, program development to audit and track air compliance.
- Lead GHG special projects throughout the year as an initiative to lower emissions while navigating the new regulations
- Champion NSPS OOOOabc compliance through special projects, testing and surveys, and data management
- Develop and assist with the implementation of emissions reduction projects as Crescent strives to continually reduce its emissions
- Lead environmental initiatives and participate in deploying programs on critical environmental matters that align with ESG efforts including OGMP and TEP
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- A Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, Applied Sciences—or equivalent experience—plus 10 years in oil and gas, excelling in Texas air permitting, GHG reporting, and NSPS compliance (Utah air permitting also favorable)
- Fluency in Texas air regs, NSPS OOOOabc, master in new GHG rules, and proven experience in emission and flaring reduction strategies
- Very proficient in Promax modeling, Microsoft products, state and federal electronic application submittals and queries
- Self-motivated, have a phenomenal work ethic, and looking for the right Company to support your growth
- Ability to manage workload independently and deliver timely and accurate results
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work, and adaptable to changing due dates
- Must have the ability to work with little supervision and to interact with all levels of operations management
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record to drive Company and personal vehicles to perform required tasks
