Job Summary
The Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of the home healthcare agency, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs). This role involves strategic planning, staff supervision, financial management, quality assurance, and fostering relationships with healthcare providers and the community.
- Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Operations
- Ensure the agency complies with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), state licensing requirements, and accrediting body standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CHAP).
- Implement policies and procedures that align with Medicare guidelines, HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accreditation status and facilitate surveys, audits, and inspections by regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the clinical and administrative operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Leadership & Staff Management
-Supervise and provide leadership to clinical directors, nurses, therapists, and administrative staff.
-Ensure staff credentials, training, and continuing education requirements are met.
-Develop and maintain a positive work environment, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
Education & Experience
-Bachelor's os Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Minimum 3-5 years of experience in home healthcare administration, preferably in a Medicare-certified agency.
-Strong knowledge of Medicare CoPs, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
Skills & Competencies
-Leadership and team management skills.
-Strong knowledge of home health billing, coding (PDGM), and compliance.
-Ability to implement quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs.
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-Proficiency in EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) such as WellSky, Axxess or Kinnser
-Strong interpersonal and communication skill
