Join our vibrant and laid-back lakefront restaurant, The Waterfront Bar & Grill, located on the scenic shores of Lake LBJ. Offering stunning waterfront views, live music, and weekly special events, we create unforgettable dining experiences for both our Members and Resort Guests. We’re seeking a passionate and driven Restaurant Manager to lead and develop our team while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and help train, hire, and nurture a team committed to excellence. Required Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a Restaurant Manager required. The Ideal candidate will have a solid background in Food and Beverage with upscale dining experience and have the ability to oversee multiple outlets. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21 if driving a licensed Resort vehicle).
  • Food Handler and TABC Certification required.
  • Proven background in food and beverage management, particularly in upscale dining settings.
  • Ability to oversee multiple outlets effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility to meet driver insurability requirements set by the insurance carrier.
  • Proficient in computer usage, with the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and service operations.
  • Familiarity with Agilisys software is a plus, but not required.
  • Encourage OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification.

Definition:

The Golf Outlets Food & Beverage Manager must be able to manage and develop staff while providing excellent customer service. 

General Duties:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to guests and members, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Uphold and maintain the professional image of Horseshoe Bay Resort.
  • Develop and update training materials and manuals.
  • Implement training standards, conduct staff training, and support ongoing staff development.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling and payroll management.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and ensure product availability.
  • Interview, hire, and enforce company policies for staff performance, including discipline when necessary.
  • Assist with organizing and overseeing grill operations, bar services, golf events, and beverage cart management.

  • Adhere to uniform standards, including slip-resistant, enclosed-toe footwear.
  • Ability to understand written materials.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

  • Must have the physical strength, stamina, and agility to perform essential duties.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular walking, sitting, and ascending/descending stairs.

  • Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workspace.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
