What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales - Commercial Refrigeration position at Crescent Parts & Equipment?
The Refrigeration Specialist will help increase the sales and profitability of refrigeration products and services by developing, quoting, and selling refrigeration projects to customers. They will be responsible for troubleshooting refrigeration systems and providing product support for Crescent's supplier partners. Working with Crescent team members and the refrigeration customer base, the Refrigeration Specialist will assist in developing contractors, OEMs, and end users through training and support.

Responsibilities
- Help develop targeted Refrigeration accounts in each territory and maintain a good working relationship with our major refrigeration customers
- Initiate sales calls with our Territory Managers to help build rapport with targeted customers
- Search for new product offerings
- Quote and sell systems to our customers with the sales team
- Perform refrigeration load calculations for and with customers
- Assist in setting up and performing training classes for Crescent customers
- Help train Crescent personnel on refrigeration products
- Assist in executing the refrigeration marketing plan
- Help to develop stocking strategies for refrigeration product lines
- Help set pricing strategies for refrigeration products
- Develop a strong working relationship with our vendors and work closely with other key stakeholders to bundle services and products
- Stay involved with MCA, SMACNA, RSES, and other trade groups related to the refrigeration industry
- Follow up on quotes and review lost sales reports
- Assist in the development of fliers, newsletters, and product mailing for CPE customers

Work Schedule/Shift: Standard Hours are M-F, 7:00 am-4:30 pm, and the occasional weekend.
Pay Status: Exempt
Experience & Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with multiple departments and teams to meet appropriate deadlines
- Ability to work and build relationships with customers, vendors, and other employees in a courteous, professional manner
- Ability to listen and have a clear understanding of customers’ needs and handle all customer requests professionally and efficiently
- An exceptional ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to work as a team or on your own, when applicable
- Desire to continue education in the technical and business areas of commercial refrigeration
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and RFP documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs: Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficiency in other industry-related software
Education
- HVAC/R industry training, certification, or college coursework/degree
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field a plus
- Minimum of ten years of experience in Commercial Refrigeration
Physical Demands
- Office environment
- Regular travel to client sites
- Occasionally lifting sample products, demonstration equipment, or promotional materials (typically under 25 lbs.)
- Work may involve standing and/or sitting for extended periods
- Strong vocal projection and clear speech for effective presentations and customer interactions.
