Crescent Title is looking to add an experienced Escrow Officer/Notarial to its River Parishes Office in Destrehan to handle residential and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the real estate closing and escrow process and has experience in a law firm and/or title company with real estate closings. All applications will be kept strictly confidential.
Status: Full-Time
Rate: TBD based on experience (includes salary, commission, 401K, bonuses, and medical and dental benefits)
Escrow Officer/Notarial Responsibilities:
· Manage real estate closing process from the signing of the contract through post-closing.
· Prepare closing documents (Powers of Attorney, Acts of Sale, HUDs, Closing Disclosures, etc.).
· Work closely with lenders, buyers, sellers, realtors, parish and municipal offices, and others.
· Collaborate with closing attorney and assistant notarial in title curative matters.
· Manage escrow accounts for each file, including the receipt incoming funds and the disbursement of outgoing funds (issuing checks and initiating wire transfers).
· Delegate appropriate duties to the escrow assistant and manage workflow for each file.
Escrow Officer/Notarial Qualifications:
· *Must have experience as an escrow officer*
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SoftPro or other title and closing software.
· Detail-oriented and professional; able to appropriately handle confidential information.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
