Duration : Contract
Onsite work required 2-3 days per week.
Experience: State Client experience is a plus.
Must have: 9 years of Experience

Prior experience working on state government projects.
Familiarity with IT project governance and assessment.
Knowledge of legislative and departmental processes.
Role Summary:
As an OCIO Project Manager, you will lead business and IT projects while ensuring compliance with established budgets, business plans, and processes. Working closely with Business Analysts, Architects, and state government committees, you will oversee project governance, resourcing, procurement, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks, methodologies, and templates.
Lead multiple concurrent projects, maintaining transparency and delivering within established budgets and timelines.
Manage scope creep by focusing on delivering minimum viable products (MVPs).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Facilitate communication across business units, IT teams, and upper-level government committees.
Conduct project meetings, provide regular updates, and escalate issues as needed.
Build strong relationships to manage client expectations effectively.
Process Optimization:
Identify and implement service improvement initiatives.
Provide insights to enhance portfolio, project, and program management processes.
Team Leadership:
Motivate teams in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
Organize complex business scenarios and break them into actionable work items.
Additional Duties:
Monitor project progress, modify schedules, and report statuses to stakeholders.
Support management with tasks or assignments as required.
Must have Skills:
Proven ability to work within project governance structures, including the use of standardized templates and reporting tools.
Experience in managing multiple parallel projects with changing priorities.
Strong organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
Expertise in time management and project planning/strategizing.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in defining requirements, creating project plans, and identifying resource needs.
Demonstrated experience in:
Client relationship management.
Service improvement implementation.
Managing project risks and dependencies effectively.
