Job Description
Cresset is seeking an Associate Director, CFO Services, who will operate within our CFO Services team. This position is hands-on, requiring experience in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, bill payment including classification and recording of bank account and credit card details, and experience in bookkeeping including recording all transactions for a given entity, and production of customized financial reports for high-net worth families. Understanding of operational accounting, cash management, and payroll functions are important to success. This role will have direct interaction with Cresset Family Office clients serving the needs of high-net worth individuals, families, and business owners in a fiduciary capacity. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, Head of CFO Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight and execution of all financial administration tasks for high-net worth families
- Polished communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Family entity bookkeeping, which may include individuals, revocable trusts, or other related entities
- Timely, accurate, and reliable bill pay and financial reporting
- Cash management services including ensuring sufficient funds exist to make required payments
- General ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations
- Maintain sources and uses of cash reporting for family members
- Support financing and financial operations related to residential holdings and acquisitions
- Interface with clients, and client advisors (investment, tax, other), and others on CFO Services team to ensure excellent communication takes place
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
- Professional designations desired: CFA, CFP, CPA
- 6 years’ experience in investment accounting, public accounting, fund administration, family office, private equity accounting, or other investment related entities
- Supervisory and team building experience with an emphasis on creating positive work environments and developing employees, ensuring high work quality and client satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify financial concepts and educate a less sophisticated audience
- Coordination with internal wealth advisory personnel, and external advisory firms such as tax, legal, and wealth advisory with an emphasis on identification of issues and implementation of new initiatives
- Experience in investment accounting and general ledger software applications
- Ability to multi-task, thrive and adapt in a dynamic, time frame-driven environment
- Desire to learn, gain experience, and to assume additional responsibilities
- Extraordinary organizational and project management skills

Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
