Job Overview:We are looking for an energetic, organized, and motivated Sales/Event Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be based in the Los Banos area and have a passion for event planning and sales. This role involves managing phone/online inquiries, coordinating events, and working closely with clients and vendors to ensure events run smoothly. A commission structure will be included for successful sales. The candidate must be available to work weekends and be onsite for the full duration of events.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Management:
- Respond to phone inquiries and emails promptly, providing information on the event space, services, and availability.
- Follow up with leads and convert them into bookings to meet sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored event solutions.
- Provide tours of the venue to potential clients.
- Ability to make independent decisions for venue sales and events coordination.
- Learn and use our event management software.
- Seek out potential opportunities for the venue, such as bringing in local talent to perform.
Event Coordination:
- Oversee event logistics, including working with clients to finalize event details, booking vendors, and confirming all arrangements.
- Coordinate with vendors (caterers, decorators, AV teams, etc.) to ensure all services are executed in the promised manner and on time.
- Assist clients in making decisions regarding event layout, schedules, choosing vendors, and more.
Set Up & On-Site Support:
- Manage the set-up of event spaces and ensure everything is in place before events begin.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs according to plan.
- Be present onsite for the full duration of events to manage any last-minute issues or changes that may arise.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Maintain event documentation, including contracts, invoices, and client communications using our event software system
- Track sales performance and report progress toward sales goals.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in sales or event coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with customer-facing roles and working directly with clients.
- Must be available weekends and flexible to work evenings as events may occur outside regular business hours.
- Must be onsite for the full duration of events to ensure seamless execution.
- Must be based in or around the Los Banos, CA area.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay of $25 per hour, plus commission for sales.
- Opportunities for growth based on performance.
Hybrid Position:
- This will be a hybrid position.
- Must be available both in person and remote.
- Must be available in person to conduct venue tours, meet with clients, and attend events as needed.
- Other tasks can be conducted remotely.
We do anticipate this to become a full time position in the future.
