We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to provide oversight and leadership to optimize the manufacturing processes in our food production facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of food manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achievement of daily and long-term production goals.
- Conflict management and resolution.
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene regulations in compliance with industry standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP).
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet quality specifications.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance, Sanitation and Engineering teams to ensure efficiency of operation and implement improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain production reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with supply chain and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Manage production budgets and control operational costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control procedures, and best manufacturing practices.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using production planning and inventory management software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
