What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable position at Crest Marine?
General Responsibility: To respond to basic client inquiries and other clerical tasks related to maintaining the accounts receivable records for the company while providing invoicing, shipping paperwork, MSO’s and other necessary documents for sales and shipments.
Duties:
- Ensure invoice and shipping documents are generated and distributed in an accurate and timely manner
- Prepare and provide monthly AR statements to dealerships
- Preparation of boat / motor MSO (manufacturers statement of origin) and weekly mailing to dealers
- Manage drop ship motor invoicing and paperwork requirements
- Assist RSMs and dealerships with invoice requests and account reconciliations
- Enter daily cash receipts and maintain accurate filing for all receivables electronically
- Process credit memos and rebill invoices as needed
- Submit invoices for payment to financial institutions in a timely manner
- Generate invoices / check requests for warranty and rebate payouts (from AR to AP)
- Responsible for uploading invoices to the Dealer Connect system as well as maintaining its accuracy
- Ensure financial approval before order shipment. If cash, ensure payment receipt prior to shipment
- Upload and submit financial approvals when orders are flipped to make sure proper approvals are in place prior to starting production
- Assist with accounting month-end close (Floqast) journal entries and reconciliations
- Additional tasks as presented by the Controller or other senior management
- Provide backup support to other individuals in the accounting department
Education & Work Experience:
- GED required – Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting a plus
- Basic understanding of finance and accounting principals
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask on various levels
- Works well with others and customers
- Ability to prioritize accordingly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Environmental Conditions:
Works in office environment. Office environment has controlled temperature, humidity and noise levels. Effective near vision or near vision accommodation is required. Talking and hearing are required. Minimal bending, stooping, walking, and stair climbing are required as is lifting items of moderate weight. MasterCraft/Crest quality standards and safety rules and regulations are mandatory.

Minimal travel required.
