Warehouse/Forklift Operator

Duties:

• Identify, transports, relocates, delivers, packs, removes, and disposes of materials as needed by department utilizing the forklift or personal deliveries
• Contributes to production by distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies and/or staging finished product
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Maintains in-process inventory at particular department by delivering, unpacking materials and supplies and staging such material and supplies
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing product
• Clean & 5S warehouse, forklifts, pallet jacks as needed
• Certifying and performing daily safety checks on all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks and sending weekly inspection reports to EHS
• Documents product shipment by recording materials/units shipped
• Inspect incoming shipments and alert warehouse team lead & purchasing for any damaged shipments & parts
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing inspections, suggesting repairs to maintenance and supervisors as needed
• Manage and monitor multiple systems to ensure adequate supply to ensure no customer supply disruption occurs and alert warehouse team lead & purchasing of possible stockouts / low inventory
• Weigh and remove all scrap material, empty hoppers on daily basis
• Open and lock up warehouse and other buildings on campus
• Backup to other warehouse staff & roles as needed
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Fork truck certified required or willing to be certified
• Experience in manufacturing (preferred)
• Ability to work in hot, cold, load, dusty, and dirty environment
• Ability to stand & sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
