Crest Services, a division of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM), is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Mentor to join our team in Albert Lea.

Pay Rate & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $19.00/hour, plus additional overtime and on-call pay as applicable
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM
What You Will Do:
As a DSP Mentor, you are responsible for all direct interactions with members served, which involves providing protective oversight and supervision, and encouraging and promoting member independence and accomplishment of goals. You will lead by example and have responsibility for the success of your assigned home. Some of your additional duties include:
- Provide protective oversight and supervision by being present, alert, and responsive to member needs throughout scheduled shift
- Understand and carry out the rights and responsibilities of members served
- Oversee member healthcare needs, personal hygiene routines, cleanliness and safety of the home, meal preparation, shopping routines, transportation and other tasks that support members and employees.
- Onboard, train and support DSP's assigned to your house.
- Provide assistance with staffing, attendance, supervision and performance. Collaborate closely and on these tasks and more with your assigned Team Lead and/or Assistant Manager.
- Serve as a liaison coordinating with Team Lead between the families, administration and persons served.
What You Need:
- Three years' experience in direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons 65 and older.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of insurance and valid driver's license in the state you are employed
- Fluently communicate in English (reading and writing) with ability to comprehend documents
- Medication Management Administration certificate within 90 days of hire
- Active Mandatory Reporter Certification preferred
