Make an Impact as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
As a DSP, you'll play a vital role in supporting daily activities like cooking, housekeeping, medication management and transportation. All training is paid to make sure you have all the tools you need to provide person-centered support.
Pay and Available Schedule
- Pay is $14.50/hour
- Days: Rotating 4 days on/off, 8 AM - 8 PM
- Nights: Rotating 4 days on/off, 8 PM - 8 AM
- PRN shifts available for qualified candidates
What You Need
- 18 years old with valid Iowa driver's license and insurance.
- Strong communication, integrity, teamwork and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and detailed records.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a group home setting.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing and meal preparation.
- Observe and monitor individuals for any changes in behavior or health status.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Utilize first aid skills when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to ensure holistic care.
- Transport individuals as needed.
