Program Coordinator - Job Description
Overview:
The Crested Butte School of Dance is seeking a detail-oriented individual to help with programming, operational, and administrative tasks for the organization. This team member will have regular duties, work on specific projects, and collaborate with the leadership team. 15-20 Hours/Week. $22-24/Hour, depending on experience.
Job Duties:
Administrative & Program Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the leadership team
- Oversee dance studio rental schedule
- Assist with program registration and billing
- Manage/file teacher and rental contracts
- Communicate with teachers, families, and students as requested
- Manage and schedule substitute teachers
- Support programs, including camps, student company, classes, and workshops
- Oversee and update aerial equipment inventory
- Enter data as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Communication & Marketing:
- Write and send regular PSAs to newspapers
- Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Design, produce, and distribute program flyers as requested
- Take photos and videos of dance classes
- Maintain organized photo and video database
Facility Management:
- Oversee daily upkeep and use of Pump Room Studio
- Monitor and order supplies
- Schedule cleaners and communicate appropriately
- Manage facility repairs and maintenance
Productions:
- Order costumes, help with fittings, and charge fees
- Assist with production logistics, including show orders, tech cues, music, volunteers, and props
- Communicate with teachers and families as needed
Safety:
- Maintain dance studio first aid kits
- Coordinate CPR/First Aid and other safety training for staff
- Update and maintain safety plans
- Review and update aerial logs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of administrative and/or program management experience
- Dance education, performance and production experience are strongly preferred
- Experience with children and families is strongly preferred
- Outstanding organizational abilities, attention to detail, promptness, and dependability
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Google Suite, database systems, etc.
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
Commitment & Compensation:
- $22-$24/Hour
- 15-20 Hours/Week
- 3 Days/Week In-Office Time Required
Work Environment:
- This position is based in the mountain town of Crested Butte, Colorado (elevation 8,885 feet). Work is performed primarily at the SOD office, with the opportunity for partial remote work. This position will require occasional night and weekend work.
