What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager in Training Program position at Crestline Hotels and Resorts?
Overview:
For graduating college seniors who are interested in going far with their careers in hospitality management, Crestline offers a comprehensive management training program. The training program is rotational, allowing you to understand each department while developing your management skills. Upon successful completion of the 12 month program, you will be placed in a management position within one of our properties, based upon the needs of Crestline Hotels & Resorts, LLC.
The trainee will be required to meet regularly with each of their department heads and will required to successfully complete each departmentally specific training checklist before advancing to the next department/position. This position will attend all supervisory and management training courses provided by the hotel. This position will also participate in all meetings conducted in the hotel and specific department in which they are working at the time.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will rotate through the entire hotel. The management trainee will gain hands-on, relative experience and management skills while working in the following departments:
- Human Resources
- Loss Prevention
- Front Office
- Housekeeping
- Restaurant/Room Service
- Banquets
- Kitchen
- Engineering
- Accounting
- Sales/Catering
Education and Experience:
- 4 year college degree in hospitality or a related field
- Hands-on experience in the hospitality field (either through internships or work experience)
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be service minded and have a can do attitude
- Must be geographically flexible
