Crestone Group, LLC is an energetic, established and growing wholesale bakery that specializes in creating hand crafted breads and pastries for convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants throughout the USA.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Facility Operations Manager to work in our Grapevine, Texas facility. The position requires a highly productive, self motivated and safe operational manager who produces high quality products efficiently, cost effectively and on time. The right candidate is a positive, energetic and experienced professional who is responsible for leading change to deliver continued improvement, is a quick learner, has strong analytical and problem solving skills, is detail oriented and understands the importance of being present.
The Facility Operations Manager manages all functional areas in meeting production requirements and ensuring that all necessary factors of production (ingredients, materials, and labor) and maintenance are performed as required to deliver product availability. The FOP Manager leads all functional areas in meeting quality and sanitation specifications and standards and understands and communicates bakery objectives and strategies through a thorough understanding of the operational budgeting, forecasting, and general business finance and is responsible for driving employee engagement to ensure 100% of all employees are engaged and contributing to their fullest.
Some additional duties include the following:
- Oversees all aspects of Plant Management, responsible for leading and supporting all areas of the facility.
- Ensures that the strategic plan and budget are completed and that overall company goals are clearly understood by the entire team.
- Maintains a high level of communication with management, employees, customers, and key suppliers in order to maintain a perspective on industry and markets.
- Executes weekly staff meetings to obtain feedback on company performance, operational issues, and goals; ensures that all other required meetings are consistently held and participate as required.
- Train, coach, develop, motivate and manage competent management personnel and production workers.
- Ability to lead change effectively.
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to assess equipment performance and ensure the health and safety of the equipment systems in operation.
- Set and manage expectations with regard to safety, sanitation, quality, productivity, and operating standards for the bakery’s operation.
- Ensure safe working conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with numerous interruptions.
- Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in our SQF Level 3 system.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Computer Proficiency in Microsoft including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Working environment includes office and extended time on the Production Floor.
- This environment includes dust, noise, wet floors, climbing ladders and potentially slippery conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and noise levels and temperature fluctuations.
- Infrequent to no travel required.
Education/Experience
- Extensive knowledge of baking and bakery manufacturing
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in Management in manufacturing
