What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef position at Crestone Wellness, LLC?
SUMMARY
This is a non-management position responsible for preparing healthy meals for clients on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure that healthy food is prepared in accordance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines.
- Ensures the kitchen is kept up to code and meets all sanitation and safety requirements.
- Reports to the Executive Chef and ensures subordination, coordination, and implementation related to:
- Developing, maintaining, and operating in accordance to a budget
- Development and implantation of efficient and effective food services processes and systems
- Supports in maintaining kitchen safety, risk management, and practices in accordance with state health requirements and federal accrediting requirements
- Communicate and appropriately document and maintain records in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
- Orders food and other household supplies for weekly delivery, reconciling shipment to invoice upon delivery as directed.
- Ensures food and other supply costs are kept within an acceptable range in accordance with the Executive Chef.
- Attends meetings and trainings as necessary or directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Able to navigate a computer and use basic software.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
