Our growing company is looking to bring in a Director of Maintenance & Service for our LA area operations. This person would report directly to the CEO and work in a collaborative nature in plotting out the grow initiatives of the division. This individual must possess the skills and abilities to lead the current staff, inspire others to join the organization, and build an operational plan that drives consistent customer satisfaction, quality, and meets company initiatives around safety, performance, and efficiency.
Candidates for this role must have a minimum of 5 years of upper management experience overseeing a minimum staff of 50 team members. A strong ability to analyze, evaluate, and process financial data is critical. Last but not least, in order to grow and expand the operations, there will need to be changes! Therefore this position will require someone who is not afraid to think outside the box, bring new ideas to old practices, and be open to breaking things down and building them back up again! As they say, "what got you here...wont get you there".
In the first year, the Director will be responsible for evaluating current operations, connecting with clients, visiting job sites, and interacting / getting to know the admin and field staff. Understanding the current division's strengths and opportunities as well as its team member's skills and abilities will be key. The Director will also initially be responsible for supporting / generating sales with the plan of eventually hiring a designated business developer.
Other position notes & key points:
- Company goal of an 18%, year over year, growth objective.
- Current operations include a large amount of base accounts and service clients.
- Large and fast growing & expanding construction arm supports the Maintenance & Service Division
- Staffing consists of account managers, technicians, admin staff, and route / enhancement crews.
- Operations work out of a warehouse & yard facility in the San Fernando Valley.
- All maintenance work is generated from referrals with no advertising or marketing
