What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Estimator position at Crestview Landscape?
Crestview Landscape is growing and looking to hire an experienced Landscape Estimator. This position is required to have at least 2 - 3 years of estimating experience. This includes scope items such as planting, drainage, irrigation, lighting, hardscape, etc. The applicant does not have to have experience in all of those scope items, but should be familiar with the landscape trade in general. The ability to be focused, analytical, and organized in order to deliver accurate take-offs is mandatory.
Core Daily duties:
- Plan takes-offs via Online Software (No prior knowledge required)
- Pricing materials via the use of preferred vendors
- Work with the Chief Estimator in delivering timely and accurate bids
- Sending Requests for Clarification / Requests for Information on pending bids
- Generating bids & proposals for new projects using Microsoft Excel
- Visit job sites as needed to make yourself familiar with site elevations and logistics
- Misc. day to day items that may be needed to support Sales and Estimating in winning work.

Requirements:
- Skills and experience working on computers along with a knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- 2 -3 years of estimating experience
- Ability to read & understand plans (Hardscape, Civil, Structural, Landscape, etc. as needed)
- Strong working knowledge of using software for take offs and estimating.
- Strong sense of urgency and the willingness to learn and be open to change
- Team oriented
- Ability to show up everyday on time, ready to work, and with a positive attitude
- Capable of following policies and procedures everyday in order to meet company objectives
