Engineer - Marriott Tampa Westshore

Job Description:

The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel. This includes but is not limited to HVAC systems, lighting, refrigeration, and water systems. The Engineer will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently. Additionally, the Engineer will be responsible for responding to guest requests for maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment
• Experience with building automation systems
• Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems
