What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide PM position at Crestview Senior Living?
This is for weekdays Monday through Friday 10 am - 7 pm
We are looking for an individual with a genuine passion for helping the elderly, excellent personal skills and a background in nutrition. The Dietary Aide reports directly to the dietary manager and is responsible for preparing nutritional meals, conducting meal-time assistance, and maintaining a clean environment in the kitchen. We are looking for a friendly individual, who understands the importance of excellent customer service and who has experience dealing with the elderly.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Reads, understands, and complies with State Regulations established for Food Service Departments.
- Responsible for washing, drying, staking, and putting away the dishes, pots, and pans.
- Also keeping these areas clean and dry free of garbage and trash.
- Sweep and mop all floors.
- Take out the trash.
- Assist the cooks and the CNAs upon request.
- Pre-set the tables, wrap the silverware, keep the condiments full, and replace the butter as needed.
- Make sure you are dressed appropriately, clean, and in uniform every day you work.
- Constant standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
- Standing for a long period of time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dietary Aide
- Proficiency in food preparation, food service, and food safety
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on senior care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dietary department operations and meal preparation
- Experience in handling and serving food in compliance with sanitation standards
