What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN 11p-7a Monday-Friday position at Crestview Senior Living?
We are seeking a Nurse for our assisted living community on the 11p-7a shift. On this shift there is one Nurse who oversees both sides of the community. Both the assisted living and memory care side each have assigned CNAs. This Nurse will be responsible for giving any PRN medications requested throughout the night as well as any early morning medications that must be taken prior to breakfast. The community has a max capacity of 85 Residents (memory care and assisted living combined); we are not at full capacity. This is not a skilled nursing community therefore there are no peg tubes, IVs, catheters, traches, etc. We utilize home health nurses for our wound care. At times, the nurse may be required to send Residents out to the ER or complete an incident and accident report. On this shift, the nurse is expected to process and file any necessary paperwork, keep the nurse's station and med room organized and clean, supervise the CNAs to ensure the Residents are being properly cared for and their duties are being completed as expected, and answer any calls that may come in on the after-hours phone. This Nurse will also participate in the planning, formation, and updating of healthcare service plans, level of care assessments, and individual service plans. The DON has an open-door policy and welcome anyone with questions, concerns, or even ideas to help better serve our Residents. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to supervise CNAs effectively, utilize their time well, and enjoy working as part of a team. Our Nurses have meaningful relationships with the Residents, their families/caregivers, and the staff as a whole.
