Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of patient care, and medical documentation. As a Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to all HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes in medical records accurately.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Assisting with med pass completion as needed.
- Round with physicians/APRNs and process all new orders for that visit.
- Assist DON with new admissions and building resident charts.
- Assist DON with quarterly pharmacy consultant orders.
- Process ordered labsand lab results.
- Follow up on any incomplete orders.
- Help maintain the organization of the med room.
- Assist with chart audits and thinning of charts.
- Supervise aides, including creating and maintaining aide schedule, and ongoing education.
- Reviewing I&A reports and completing documentation.
- Van driving.
- Assist with discharges.
- Family Care Plan meetings.
- LOC/ documentation.
- Evals and assessment - some travel to patients and/or family homes.
- Participate with QA team.
- Create a positive work environment
- Along with any other duties assigned.
Experience
- A valid nursing license is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
