We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in being a dietary manager, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their individual health needs and care plans.
Duties
- Supervise and manage the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the nutritional needs of residents, including those requiring tube feeding.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess residents' dietary requirements and adjust meal plans accordingly.
- Train and mentor dietary staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
- Monitor food preparation processes to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to dietary guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including meal counts and resident preferences.
Requirements
- Previous experience in supervising a dietary department or similar role within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual dietary needs is preferred.
- Familiarity with tube feeding protocols is an asset.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
