Overall Purpose of Position: Maintains accounting systems, ensures accuracy of information. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; prepares and submits reports. Ensuring departmental goals are met by meeting/exceeding deadlines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Completes Daily, weekly and month end/year end activities as required to ensure a complete, accurate, and timely close process by:
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and entities by researching and ensuring balances are accurate including but not limited to, prepaids, cash, fixed assets, accruals
• Preparing, entering, integrating, and posting standard and general journal entry forms into the Great Plains general ledger module
• Reviewing, investigating, and correcting errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports for appropriate allocation of income and expense
• Preparing and submitting required financial information for Executive Packets.
• Preparing, Updating and distributing month-end financial packets
• Coordinating efforts and timing of preparation and distribution of balance sheet and income statements
• Utilize FloQast software to indicate when reconciliations and month-end tasks are completed
• 571 Processing and filing
Assists and maintains financial information on annual and/or quarterly basis by:
• Gathering support documents for assigned accounts for budgets.
• Prepare audit packets for assigned accounts.
• Updates files as needed according to facility updates
• Assist in year end processes
