Position Summary
We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative at our Chattanooga, TN location to provide outstanding account management and customer service to existing and new customers.
The individual who will fill this role will primarily represent our mechanical and power transmission lines. This includes communications, quotations, customer account building and excellent customer service. The ability to identify customer pain points and offer solutions from all our other product lines is highly preferable.
You will be part of a team of inside sales representatives supporting our customer base and outsides sales in the surrounding southeastern region.
Inside Sales responsibilities include sales administration including entering orders into our database system, updating spreadsheets, entering PO requests and customer account building. In this role, you should have excellent communication abilities and be highly motivated to meet sales goals.
The position reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager. This is an exempt position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Handle customer sales calls, fulfill requests for quotes, process purchase and sales orders.
- Maintain a knowledge base of the product lines available throughout our company.
- Work closely with salespeople and other internal teams to meet individual and group sales quotas.
- Maintain detailed reports of sales call activities including contacts, immediate needs, potential future business, competitor overtures/successes, and any customer or vendor relationship problems inside a company CRM system.
- Answer customer questions about features, pricing and additional services
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Assist in determining appropriate stock levels for mechanical products.
- Working well with our team is essential.
- Consistent, timely attendance is required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Computer use competency including Outlook, Microsoft products, Excel experience a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Previous knowledge of bearings, PT and MRO products recommended.
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year or more of mechanical sales experience is highly preferred.
