What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Football Coach - Creswell High School position at Creswell School District?
Creswell School District is seeking a Head Varsity Football Coach to join the outstanding coaching staff at Creswell High School. The following positions confirmed to be open for the 2025-2026 school year: HS Math (1.0 FTE), HS Counselor (1.0 FTE).
Position open until filled. Applicant screening begins February 10th.
The ideal applicant will have the ability to establish a positive, winning culture, maximize the number of participants and continue building a pipeline from the youth programs. The candidate must be passionate about working with student-athletes while understanding what working in a smaller school district entails.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- OSAA Certified Coach
- High school Graduate
- Previous successful high school coaching experience
- Skills in working positively with adolescents
- Understanding of successful teaching strategies
- Good communication skills
- Successful completion of fingerprint screening
- First Aid CPR training
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed teaching/counselor experience
- High school varsity football coaching experience
- NFHS Coaching Certifications
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach fundamentals of football
- Plan and supervise practices and games
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school personnel
- Work with local media for reporting on team
GENERAL AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Assume a supervisory and teaching role with athletes
- Design practices to build game skills and strategies
- Cooperate with CHS faculty and staff
- Implement a vision for the CHS Football program that promotes program growth while supporting all athletics at CHS
- Supportive of improving student mental-health
Coaching Stipends paid at the end of the season. Actual dollar amount varies based on experience and step placement in accordance with the certified bargaining agreement, Extra Duty Salaries.
