Cook Assistant (3 hours/day)

Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Cook Assistant position (3 hours per day). 

Scheduled shift is 7:30am to 10:30am. Work location to be determined upon hire. 

Position open until filled. Applicant screening begins February 24th.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a clean work area and assist in preparing and serving food.

Duties may include:

• Prepare a portion of the menu under the direction of the kitchen manager.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area; clean and maintain assigned area; clean and maintain equipment on a daily basis
• Clean and wash dishes and other serving items.
• Assist with serving of food as required.
• Assist kitchen manager with record keeping
• Perform work in an efficient manner with time deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and ability in food preparation of various menu items, cooking and serving foods in large quantities.
• Knowledge of standards of HAACP food safety and sanitation methods.
• Knowledge and ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a team member, communicate effectively with other employees, staff and students using courtesy and good judgment.
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail to meet deadlines including ability to receive and count money.
• Ability to physically perform assigned duties, including but not limited to: lifting objects up to 50 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Successful completion of criminal history background and fingerprinting check.
• Current Food Handler’s Card issued by Environmental Health
