What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detention Coordinator position at Crete Carrier Corporation?
Coordinates efficient customer billing when either driver or trailer detentions occur.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Associate’s degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitors driver and trailer delay times at customer locations.
- Keys detention information from customer contracts and bills for delay charges as needed.
- Performs all billing and invoicing duties for driver and/or trailer detentions, including verifying the accuracy of the billed charges.
- Maintains the detention monitor system for driver and trailer detentions.
- Serves as a point of contact for questions regarding detentions.
- Writes reports and reviews required information in order to ensure the detention process remains consistent.
- Assists the accounts receivable department in collecting charges for detention delays.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Receives and carries out instructions.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Communicates effectively.
- Exhibits ability to read, write, talk, and hear; add, subtract, multiply, and divide; and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds as required.
- Uses computers and software programs proficiently.
