In this role, you will provide vital support to drivers by assisting with technical questions regarding equipment breakdowns or damage, ensuring both driver and equipment safety. You will play a crucial role in determining the best course of action for road recovery, including identifying nearby maintenance facilities, collaborating with the operations department to reassign loads, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The position also involves managing repair estimates, issuing approvals, updating repair statuses, and handling vendor payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist drivers over the phone and via other communication devices with technical questions pertaining to the breakdown or damage of equipment.
- Determine the appropriate steps to ensure both the driver and equipment are safely removed from the road, if necessary.
- Examine locations of maintenance facilities to determine which would be closest to the site of the breakdown.
- Communicate with the operations department to reassign the load to ensure on-time delivery.
- Obtain estimates, provide repair approvals, and update repair statuses.
- Issue payments to vendors as needed.
- We are looking for someone with proficient computer skills and excellent communication. Previous mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with the transportation or logistics industry.
