Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for expanding the customer base, improving market share, increasing volume, and enhancing gross margins for AC Corporation through inside sales support and estimating. This person works with others in the sales organization to expand business with existing customers as well as new sales opportunities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Review plans and specifications to meet project requirements.
• Work with OEM suppliers for accurate take-off and project cost estimation.
• Generate and deliver professional proposals
• Serve as customer lead for strategic accounts and/or opportunities as assigned by the sales director.
• Maintain customer relations with existing accounts to ensure account retention.
• Participate and network in industry organizations which positively influence current and future business.
• Practice process improvement in all areas of the sales and customer service.
• Pursue additional shop fabrication sales opportunities such as sheetmetal & panel ductwork, pipe pre-fabrication, and contractor manufacturing.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Requires minimum three years of professional experience in custom units design and/or sales.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and technical applications through past experience in a similar industry.
• Must have a proven track record of outstanding customer service and estimating skills.
• The ability to communicate technical applications clearly and accurately is essential.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (or other presentation software)
• Ability to understand the design and estimating process for custom units including fan/coil units, make-up air units, coil boxes, filter boxes, etc.
• Ability to select unit components such as fans, coils, filters, humidifiers, etc.
• Ability to understand unit specifications and drawings
• Ability to prepare detailed estimates along with comprehensive quotation letters

• Sit for long periods of time during a regular workday
• Long hours on keyboard
• Use hands and arms to reach for, handle and manipulate objects
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
