Quality Inspector Position Summary
The Quality Inspector I will be responsible for performing basic dimensional and visual inspections for various manufacturing processes using various methods and equipment. This position will also complete appropriate quality records within company and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Shifts Available :
- 2nd shift : 2 : 30pm-11pm Mon-Fri
Responsibilities :
Quality Inspector Duties and Responsibilities
Inspection of received materials, components, and assemblies relating to quality, appearance, and performanceInterpret and accurately document the results of the inspections and testingReport and isolate non-conforming productUse a variety of inspection measurement tools and gages (Micrometer, Caliper, Gage Pins, Indicators, Thread Gages, Profilometer, Optical Comparator, Microscopes)Operate various precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systemsSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workPartner with other business segments : sales / marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyParticipate in required company meetingsMaintain an organized work area (5S)Participate in the Operational Excellence ProgramComplete all other work duties as assignedAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentQualifications :
Quality Inspector Requirements
Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenanceAbility to work from customer supplied drawings and specificationsAbility to communicate inspection results with team membersAbility to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needsManage multiple requirements and deadlinesMechanical AptitudeDexterity and hand and eye coordinationAbility to use a microscope and hand toolsAbility to cross train in other areas of production when requiredMicrosoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Clear and effective verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailOrganizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentAbility to prioritize and multitaskQuality Inspector Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with measuring instruments, methods and practices including hand tools and machine devices including CMM and Vision SystemsKnowledge of ISO 9001 / 13485Quality training / certifications
