This is a great opportunity for an attorney with 2-5 years of experience in insurance-based litigation or general civil litigation to grow and gain exposure to complex cases in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Court Appearances: Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations, with opportunities to represent clients in trial settings.
- Legal Research and Writing: Conduct research, draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather case information, provide updates, and offer legal advice when appropriate.
- Trial Preparation: Trial preparation, including organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and collaborating with senior attorneys with witness preparation.
- Case Management: Assist with managing insurance defense cases, including first and third-party claims, coverage analysis, and general insurance litigation.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in general civil litigation, preferably in insurance, or related fields.
- Trial Experience: Exposure to depositions, mediations, and law & motion practice; trial experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong research, writing, and communication skills. Detail-oriented and organized.
- License: Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
- Cultural Fit: Ability to thrive in a relaxed, collaborative office environment. Comfortable in-office work at the firm's Anaheim Hills location with some remote flexibility.
